Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Cognitive Authority (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect very little, we use it only to deliver your report, and we never sell it.

What we collect

• Business details you submit. When you run a visibility check, you give us your business name, city, industry, and optionally your website URL and a short description. That’s it — there are no accounts, no passwords, and no sign-up.
• Your email address. If you purchase a full AI visibility report, we collect your email so we can send the order confirmation and your report link.
• Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) that our hosting provider records automatically for security and reliability.

How we use it

We use your business details to generate your AI visibility report. We use your email to deliver that report, respond to support requests, and send order-related notices. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build profiles of you, and we do not rent, share, or sell your personal data to anyone — ever.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted providers, each limited to what it needs to do its job:

• Paddle — our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles your card and payment details directly; your full card number never touches our servers.
• Google Gemini API — generates the AI analysis of your business based on the details you submitted.
• Vercel — hosts this website and serves the pages you view.
• Supabase — stores your evaluation and report data so your report link keeps working.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your evaluation and report data for as long as your report link needs to work, and order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require (handled with Paddle). If you’d like everything deleted, email us and we will remove your personal data from our systems, typically within 30 days. Deleting data for an already-delivered report means we can no longer restore your report link.

Cookies

We use cookies as little as possible. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use strictly necessary storage — such as a checkout session identifier — to keep the purchase flow working. Paddle may set its own cookies during checkout under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us and we’ll help — no legal ceremony required.
