These terms apply when you use Cognitive Authority and purchase an AI visibility report. They’re written in plain language on purpose. By buying a report, you agree to these terms.

What you’re buying

The product is a one-time digital purchase: an AI visibility analysis report for a single business, for a single fixed price. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no hidden fees. Once payment completes, your report is generated and made available through your unique report link.

No account required

You don’t create an account or password. Your report is accessed through a unique report link shown on screen right after checkout — save or bookmark it, and keep the Paddle receipt email as your proof of purchase. Treat the link like a key: anyone who has it can view the report. If you lose it, contact us and we’ll help you regain access.

AI-generated content: a snapshot, not a guarantee

Reports are generated by AI models (currently Google Gemini with live web search) at the time of your request. They reflect how AI assistants responded in that moment — a snapshot, not a permanent truth. Model versions, personalization, location, and timing all affect answers, so results can and will change.

Reports are provided for informational purposes only. They are estimates and analysis, not professional advice, and we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or any business outcome (such as higher rankings, more customers, or increased revenue).

Payments, taxes, and Paddle

All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. That means Paddle — not us — is the entity that appears on your card statement, and Paddle is responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting applicable sales taxes and VAT, and for payment compliance. Invoices, receipts, and payment disputes are handled through Paddle under their terms. We never see or store your full card number.

Intellectual property

The website, brand, scoring methodology, and report format are owned by us. When you buy a report, you get a license to use it for your own business — share it with your team, use the insights in your marketing decisions. You may not resell, redistribute publicly, or present the report as your own work product.

You keep full ownership of the business information you submit to us.

Fair use

Don’t abuse the service: no scraping, no automated bulk submissions, no attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform, and no submitting businesses in ways that violate law or others’ rights.

Liability and disputes

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the report, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. If something goes wrong, contact us first — most issues are resolved with a single email. Payment-related disputes go through Paddle as Merchant of Record.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally (for example, when we change providers or pricing structure). The current version always lives on this page with its update date.
